Job Title: AEM Solution Architect

Role Overview

The AEM Solution Architect will lead the design, development, and governance of enterprise-scale AEM solutions. This role requires strong hands-on technical expertise combined with architectural leadership to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance digital experiences. The architect will work closely with development teams, backend systems, and business stakeholders while mentoring teams and supporting production environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise-grade AEM architecture using Sling, OSGi, JCR, and CRX.
  • Develop and review AEM components, templates, dialogs, services, and workflows.
  • Architect and configure AEM features including workflows, Sling mappings, Multi-Site Manager (MSM), and translation frameworks.
  • Define content architecture, page layouts, and site structures aligned with business and UX requirements.
  • Enable personalized, dynamic, and data-driven content experiences within AEM.
  • Implement and support A/B testing and multi-variant testing strategies.
  • Design and manage role-based access control and role-driven content delivery.
  • Collaborate with backend and software development teams to design and manage system integrations and APIs.
  • Lead code reviews, establish development standards, and ensure adherence to AEM best practices.
  • Mentor and train developers and content authors; provide production support and resolve live-site incidents requiring development fixes.

Required Technical Qualifications

  • 12+ years of overall software development experience with strong hands-on AEM expertise.
  • Extensive experience with Adobe CQ5 / Adobe AEM 6.x development.
  • Proven experience designing and developing AEM templates, components, dialogs, and workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of AEM architecture including Sling, OSGi, JCR, and CRX.
  • 4+ years of web development experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • 4+ years of hands-on Java development experience and associated technologies.
  • 2+ years of AEM administration experience, including deployments and environment management.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, design patterns, and SDLC.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
