Significantly Improves rating owing to learning and innovative HR initiatives
Hyderabad – October 05, 2011 - Virtusa Corporation (NASDAQ: VRTU), a global IT services company that offers a broad range of information technology services, including IT consulting, technology implementation and application outsourcing services, today announced that it has been ranked 9th amongst the Top 20 Best IT Employers in India by Dataquest (DQ)-CMR in their annual Best Employer Survey 2011. The company scored high on Company Culture, Training and Appraisal System.
Virtusa’s significantly improved its ranking from last year’s position of 15. In 2009, the company was placed at 20th position. The strong showing in this Survey over consecutive years is a validation of Virtusa’s strong belief that people are it’s most valuable resource and the commitment by organization to create the best workplace environment for its employees.

Indian IT companies, both domestic and multinationals, participated in the DQ-CMR survey, which was designed and carried out in two phases. Phase one, the HR Survey, saw participation from 49 companies and was based on several parameters like total employee strength in India and total average training, among others. In the second phase, a large-scale survey was conducted by CMR India among 3337 employees of the 40 shortlisted companies. The survey questionnaire included 73 statements under parameters like composite satisfaction, company culture, job content/growth, training, salary and compensation, appraisal systems, people, gender inclusivity, and managing the slowdown. Dataquest is a flagship publication released by CyberMedia Group and it collaborated with Cybermedia Research (CMR) to bring out the top 20 Indian IT employers this year.
