Westborough, MA – February 6, 2006 – Virtusa Corporation, a global provider of software development and IT services, today announced the appointment of Marc Hebert as Chief Marketing Officer. Mr. Hebert will be responsible for corporate strategy, positioning, branding, public relations, analyst relations, lead generation programs and alliance relationships. He will report directly to Dan Smith, Virtusa’s President and Chief Operating Officer.

In addition to his marketing role, Marc will head Virtusa’s West Coast office, located in Sunnyvale, California. “It is an exciting time to join Virtusa,” said Marc Hebert. “The company is experiencing tremendous growth as it expands existing client relationships and adds new ones to its impressive roster. Prior to joining Virtusa, Marc was Executive Vice President, Marketing and Alliances for Sierra Atlantic, a developer of enterprise application services. In this role, he helped define and implement the company’s corporate positioning and had responsibility for lead generation, public relations and partner development activities. During his tenure at Sierra Atlantic, Marc forged strategic relationships with such category-leading software companies such as BEA, Oracle, Microsoft, PeopleSoft, Siebel and others.
Previously, Marc served as vice president of Enterprise Platforms Division for Oracle Corporation, where he oversaw delivery of Oracle’s products on the Hewlett-Packard, Sun and Compaq platforms. He held several other roles during his 11-year tenure at Oracle, including Chief Information Officer. He also spent 11 years with Andersen Consulting, where he managed large systems implementation projects for health care providers.
Marc earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Harvard University and his MBA from Stanford University.
