Nitesh was appointed Executive Director and CEO of Virtusa in February 2025. As CEO, he oversees the company's strategic direction, promotes an AI-first culture, and focuses on sustainable growth and driving long-term value for Virtusa and its clients. He has extensive experience in digital transformation, engineering services, data and analytics, cloud technology, corporate strategy, sales & business development, service delivery, mergers and & acquisitions, and worldwide operations.

Prior to Virtusa, Nitesh served as President and CEO GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group company, where he was responsible for defining and executing strategy, aligning investments, and ensuring growth, consistency, efficiency, and worldwide operational excellence. Mr. Banga brings nearly three decades of leadership in the IT services industry, including over twenty years at Infosys, where he held various leadership positions around the globe.

Nitesh holds a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology. Outside of his professional endeavors, he is an enthusiastic sports fan who enjoys following a wide array of sports, including basketball, soccer, cricket, and Formula 1 racing.
