IT Infrastructure Engineer
Job description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and maintain Windows servers including installation configuration and troubleshooting
- Oversee Active Directory services including user and group management GPO implementation and security best practices
- Develop and maintain PowerShell or other scripting solutions for automation and system management tasks
- Experience with VMWare and VDI Horizon for virtualization and desktop infrastructure management
- Familiarity with AWS GCC Government Cloud for cloud infrastructure management and security compliance
- Monitor system performance and implement necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation
- Collaborate with other IT teams to support infrastructure projects and resolve technical issues
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience as a Windows Administrator or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory services
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell VBScript or batch scripting
- Experience with VMWare and VDI Horizon for virtualization and desktop infrastructure management
- Familiarity with AWS for cloud infrastructure management and security compliance
- Familiarity with system monitoring tools and techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Relevant certifications such as MCSE MCSA or CompTIA Server+
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
