Job description
The Environment Engineering Lead is responsible for designing governing and optimizing enterprise level technical environments across development testing staging and production This role ensures environments are reliable scalable compliant with standards and aligned with business and engineering needs The lead works cross functionally with architecture DevOps security and application teams to enable smooth delivery and operational excellence
Key Responsibilities
Assess current environments standards and dependencies identify gaps risks and constraints across the environment landscape
Define and maintain environment strategies standards and best practices across SDLC stages
Lead the design setup and lifecycle management of development test UAT staging and production environments
Ensure environment consistency stability and availability to support application delivery and releases
Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to implement infrastructure as code automation and CI CD integrations
Provide technical leadership guidance and mentoring to environment and platform engineering teams
Required Skills and Experience
Strong experience in environment engineering platform engineering or infrastructure leadership roles
Proven ability to assess current environments standards and dependencies identifying gaps and constraints
Hands on experience with cloud platforms AWS Azure or GCP and hybrid environments
Expertise in environment provisioning configuration management and automation tools such as Terraform Ansible and CloudFormation
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in regulated or large scale enterprise environments
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration including Docker and Kubernetes
Familiarity with monitoring logging and observability tools
Background in architecture or systems engineering
