Job description
Monitor application performance using APM tools like APPDynamics to analyze transaction flows, node health, memory usage, CPU utilization, and response times.
Analyze application logs and metrics using Splunk to identify anomalies, errors, and performance degradation patterns.
Perform latency and SLA monitoring across application tiers and environments.
Perform Garbage Collection (GC) analysis, thread dump, and heap dump analysis to identify memory leaks, thread contention, and JVM tuning issues.
Correlate JVM-level findings with application and infrastructure metrics to pinpoint root causes.
Identify bottlenecks and tuning points, collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure regarding performance engineering and testing
Use Pega PDC (Predictive Diagnostic Cloud) to identify performance bottlenecks, rule execution delays, and system health issues.
Collaborate with Pega developers and architects to recommend performance improvements.
Conduct application performance reviews with application team
Additional Pega performance tuning knowledge is a strong plus.
Owns end to end performance engineering activities, monitoring, and diagnostics for assigned application
Analyze Oracle database performance metrics, including wait events, query execution plans, locks, and resource utilization.
Work with database teams to identify and resolve database related performance bottlenecks.
Work closely with development, architecture, infrastructure, and operations teams to implement performance improvements.
Provide performance recommendations during design, implementation, and release planning phases.
Provides performance risk assessment and readiness input before production releases
Document performance findings, root cause analyses, and remediation actions.
Define and enforce performance engineering best practices.
Design, develop, review, and maintain performance test scripts using LoadRunner, JMeter.
Review and optimize existing performance test scripts on an as-needed basis to ensure accuracy and reusability.
Execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests based on business and technical requirements.
