DB2 Admin
Required 24x7 support on call and shift based
Hands on experience in fixing L2 and L3 issues
Hands on experience in installation configuration and maintenance of DB2 database environments
Patches and fix pack implementation for standalone and rolling upgrades in HADR environments
DB2 version upgrades and license management
Experience in creating instances and database objects including databases tables tablespaces schemas indexes views and stored procedures and managing DB2 registry variables DBM and database configuration parameters
Implement and maintain database security by creating and managing users and roles and granting and revoking privileges on database objects
Good exposure to SQL tuning DB and DBM parameter tuning memory allocation tuning and database snapshots
Good experience in creating event monitors explain tables for db2advis and db2expln using db2pd and snapshots for monitoring and performance tuning
Analyze complex and long running SQL queries using db2expln and db2advis utilities
Implement backup strategies including offline online full incremental and delta backups for development QA and production environments
Database cloning using redirect restore performing frequent QA refreshes from production and rebuilding HADR
Experience in recovering data using crash recovery and roll forward recovery
Automated database maintenance utilities such as REORG REORGCHK and RUNSTATS
Experience in data movement utilities including load import export and db2move
Experience in monitoring databases and tuning configuration parameters to improve database and application performance
Hands on experience in building HADR multi standby environments with automation
Hands on experience in DPF
Hands on experience in SQL replication and Q replication
Knowledge of IBM tools including Data Studio IBM DSM DB2 Admin Console and DBI
Experience in writing and understanding Unix and shell scripting
