Role Overview
Mercer is seeking a UX Designer – Employee Digital Twin to design intuitive, transparent, and human‑centered experiences for Mercer’s Employee Digital Twin platform. This role focuses on translating complex workforce intelligence—covering skills, careers, compensation, mobility, performance, and AI‑driven insights—into clear, usable, and trustworthy digital experiences.
The UX Designer will work closely with the UX Lead, Product Lead, Domain Lead, AI/ML teams, and engineers to ensure that AI‑powered insights feel explainable, ethical, and actionable for HR leaders, managers, consultants, and employees.
Key Responsibilities
User Experience Design
UX for Digital Twin & AI Experiences Design experiences that allow users to:
View and understand an employee’s digital twin profile (role, skills, pay, performance, mobility).
Explore career paths, skill adjacencies, and development options.
Interact with AI‑generated recommendations and insights confidently.
Ensure AI outputs are presented with:
Clear context and explanations
Confidence indicators and assumptions
Appropriate warnings, limitations, and next steps
Collaboration & Delivery
Work closely with:
UX Lead (experience vision and standards)
Product Lead (requirements and prioritization)
Domain Lead (people science accuracy)
AI/ML and engineering teams (feasibility and implementation)
Required Qualifications
4–8 years of experience as a UX Designer / Product Designer.
Strong portfolio demonstrating user‑centered design for complex digital products.
Experience designing data‑rich, enterprise, or analytics‑driven applications.
Solid understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma).
Ability to clearly articulate design decisions and user‑centric rationale.
Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing AI‑powered or decision‑support applications.
Exposure to HR technology, workforce analytics, careers, or compensation platforms.
Familiarity with design systems and component‑based UI development.
Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design.
Experience working in Agile or product‑led delivery environments.
