Agentic Software Engineer
Ship Production Software Through AI Agents
About the Role
We’re hiring engineers who deliver software through AI agents rather than writing every line by hand. Using agentic coding assistants like Claude Code, Claude Desktop, and pre-built development scaffolding, you’ll ship greenfield and brownfield projects at a pace traditional engineering can’t match — multiple PRs per day, not per week.
This is a hands-on delivery role. You won’t build the agent tooling — you’ll use it. Your job is to specify what needs to be built, steer agents through implementation, review their output, and ship production-grade software. OpenAI recently demonstrated this model: 3 engineers, 1 million lines of code, zero hand-written source — all through agents in five months.
What You’ll Do
Specify intent clearly. Translate requirements into precise specifications and architectural decisions that agents can execute against. Spec quality directly determines output quality.
Steer agents through delivery. Orchestrate multi-phase pipelines — spec, design, implementation, testing, review, deployment — with specialized agents at each stage. Know when to intervene and when to let agents run.
What We’re Looking For
Strong software architecture fundamentals — you decide what “good” looks like
Hands-on delivery experience with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar in production
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Agentic framework and Microsoft AI foundry
Ability to write clear, testable specifications agents can execute against
Skill at reviewing AI-generated code efficiently at high throughput
Experience with both greenfield bootstrapping and brownfield modernization
