Software Tester Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of our applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing test cases, executing manual and automated tests, and reporting issues to the development team.
Key Responsibilities
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely feedback
- Develop, document, and execute test plans and test cases
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Identify, record, and track bugs using issue tracking tools
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to resolve issues
- Ensure software meets quality standards before release
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience as a Software Tester or QA Tester
- Familiarity with testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, Postman)
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and QA methodologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
Preferred Skills
- Experience with automation frameworks
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Basic programming skills (Java, Python, or similar)
