Job Description – Vault Engineer (Thought Machine) (5–12 Years Experience)
We are seeking an experienced Vault Engineer with strong Thought Machine Vault platform expertise to join our Cloud & Banking Technology team. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in infrastructure, platform maintenance, and production support within cloud-native banking environments.
This role focuses on Thought Machine Vault core banking platform operations, AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes orchestration, and production stability.
Required Skills & Experience
5–12 years of overall IT experience with strong exposure to Cloud / Infrastructure Engineering
Hands-on experience with Thought Machine Vault (Core Banking Platform) – deployment, configuration, environment management, and support
Strong experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, EKS, IAM, RDS, networking, security, monitoring)
Experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and containerized workloads
Understanding of Go-based services and microservices architecture
Experience with observability tools: Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana
Strong knowledge of infrastructure, high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery
Experience in platform maintenance, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning
Strong production support and incident management experience
Ability to troubleshoot complex system, integration, and performance issues
Understanding of banking domain systems and secure cloud architectures
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
Key Responsibilities
Deploy, configure, and manage Thought Machine Vault core banking platform environments
Support and maintain production and non-production Vault environments
Manage infrastructure provisioning and maintenance on AWS
Deploy and manage Vault workloads in Kubernetes environments
Monitor system health, logs, and performance using Splunk, Dynatrace, and Grafana
Perform upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and DR testing
Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and integration issues
Collaborate with application, DevOps, security, and business teams
Ensure platform stability, performance, and SLA adherence
Drive automation and continuous improvement in platform operations
