Data Engineer
As a Data Engineer you will directly contribute to key organizational objectives including cost efficiency and risk mitigation by improving productivity through automation of routine maintenance tasks decreasing time to deliver continuous improvement initiatives optimizing infrastructure costs through efficient database design improving system documentation and knowledge transfer increasing automated testing coverage and enhancing system and location resiliency. The role involves designing developing and optimizing complex SQL queries stored procedures and data models for Oracle based systems creating and maintaining efficient data pipelines for extract transform and load processes designing and implementing data quality controls and validation processes to ensure data integrity collaborating with cross functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications establishing documentation standards and maintaining comprehensive system documentation leading troubleshooting efforts to resolve complex database performance issues designing and implementing integrations between Oracle systems and cloud services particularly AWS S3 leading code reviews and establishing best practices for database development designing and executing data migration strategies from legacy systems to modern cloud based solutions and working within an Agile framework while taking a leadership role in sprint planning and technical discussions. Required skills and experience include Oracle databases SQL and PL SQL development Python for data processing and automation implementing and maintaining data quality controls experience with version control systems preferably Git or GitHub AWS services including S3 Lambda and Step Functions ETL tools such as Informatica PowerCenter and Control M Unix shell scripting for data processing CI CD pipelines for database code and experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
