Job description
Python Developer
This is a challenging opportunity for data professionals who can understand data and analytics requirements and work closely with product owners and analysts to develop and implement data sourcing solutions. Working as a practitioner or engineer in the data landscape the role requires contributing to engineering design and delivery of end to end solutions that support. The candidate must have a strong understanding of data management and design including ETL architecture database technologies data quality and performance management and demonstrate the ability to learn and work with diverse technologies and toolsets. The role involves intensive interaction with business and system teams requiring strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.Responsibilities include hands on development of data integrations from multiple data sources including design and development of data extraction loading processing and integration solutions. The role involves writing code for functional stories test cases infrastructure automation scripts security scripts monitoring tools and related use cases. Strong expertise in Python and Oracle or SQL Server is required along with strong analytical skills for working with unstructured data sets. The candidate should have good knowledge of Snowflake SnapLogic and UNIX system architecture along with a strong understanding of core networking concepts. Hands on experience with Unix scripting and Python is required.The role also requires expertise in CI CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Jenkins and Ansible along with working knowledge of APIs caching and messaging systems. Experience with software delivery and agile methodologies is required.Experience delivering data related non functional requirements is essential including handling large volumes of historical data across markets and geographies manipulating processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets building strong data quality gates for investment management data and handling standard business scenarios such as missing data holidays and out of tolerance errors.Core skills include Python concepts core Python Pandas SQL fundamentals joins and analytical SQL Unix basics environment variables file operations and permissions and CI CD and delivery lifecycle experience using Git DevOps Jenkins and deployment tools.
