Accessibility Testing Consultant
Years of Experience: 7-10 Years
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Accessibility Testing Consultant with a strong background in manual testing and a deep understanding of accessibility standards, particularly WCAG. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and have experience in the banking sector. Bilingual proficiency in English and French is required for this role, as effective communication with diverse stakeholders is essential.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough accessibility testing of web and mobile applications to ensure compliance with WCAG standards.
Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve accessibility issues.
Prepare detailed reports on accessibility findings and provide actionable recommendations.
Engage with stakeholders to communicate testing results and advocate for best practices in accessibility.
Participate in project meetings and contribute to the overall project strategy.
Provide training and support to team members on accessibility testing methodologies.
Mandatory Skills:
Proven experience in manual testing, with a focus on accessibility testing.
Strong knowledge of WCAG guidelines and accessibility best practices.
Experience in the banking sector, with an understanding of industry-specific accessibility requirements.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and French.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with OLBB (Online Banking) systems.
Experience with easy point of sale systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7-10 years of relevant experience in accessibility testing and manual testing.
