SAS DMS Engineer / Consultant
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAS DMS (Data Management System) Engineer to design, implement, and support SAS-based data management solutions. The role involves working closely with business and technical teams to ensure accurate, reliable, and high-performance data processing, integration, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain SAS DMS workflows and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
Implement data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation processes within SAS DMS
Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Optimize data processing jobs for performance, scalability, and reliability
Support data migration and integration across various systems and platforms
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues related to SAS DMS workflows
Maintain documentation of processes, standards, and configurations
Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and regulatory requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with SAS DMS (Data Management System)
Proficiency in SAS programming, ETL, and workflow automation
Experience with data modeling, data quality, and data validation processes
Strong understanding of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.)
Experience with batch processing and scheduling tools
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Good to Have
Experience with cloud-based data management platforms
Knowledge of data warehousing and BI/reporting tools
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD for data workflows
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Statistics, or related field
3–7 years of experience working with SAS DMS or similar data management platforms
