Job Title: Senior Mainframe Developer
Location: PCS CA, Toronto
Years of Experience: 7-10 Years
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mainframe Developer with extensive experience in the banking domain. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mainframe development, with a focus on various mainframe components and a solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC). This role requires a proactive individual who is willing to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications in the banking sector.
- Utilize mainframe components such as SCA, MCA, JCL, and NDM to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
- Implement and manage SDLC processes to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
- Utilize tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow for project management and documentation.
- Conduct troubleshooting and problem-solving activities to resolve technical issues.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
Mandatory Skills:
- 7+ years of mainframe development experience in the banking domain.
- Proficient in operating systems: Windows, UNIX, and LINUX.
- Experience with RDBMS and Oracle 19C.
- Strong knowledge of mainframe components: SCA, MCA, JCL, and NDM.
- Very strong understanding of SDLC.
- Well-versed with JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies quickly.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in mainframe technologies are a plus.
