Senior Solution Architect

Location: PCS CA~TORONTO

Years of Experience: 10-15 Years

Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect with deep expertise in the Java ecosystem and AWS to lead the design of cloud-native, scalable, secure, and cost-optimized solutions. This role serves as a bridge between business requirements and engineering execution, setting architectural guardrails and guiding delivery teams across microservices, APIs, data, DevOps, and security to ensure resilient and maintainable systems that align with enterprise standards and business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and own end-to-end cloud-native solutions using Java/Spring Boot and AWS services, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
  • Define architecture standards, patterns, and best practices for microservices, APIs, integrations, data flow, and infrastructure.
  • Lead technical teams by providing architectural guidance, reviewing designs/code, and ensuring alignment with solution goals throughout delivery.
  • Collaborate with business and product stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs, roadmaps, and architecture documentation (HLD/LLD).
  • Optimize AWS infrastructure and Java application performance, including cost optimization, resiliency, security hardening, and observability improvements.
  • Drive modernization initiatives such as migrating monoliths to microservices, cloud transformation, and adopting DevOps, CI/CD, and IaC practices.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Expertise in AWS Infrastructure Security
  • Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud-native application design
  • Knowledge of API management and integration patterns
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
