Job Description:
The AI Lead is responsible for the strategic oversight, coordination, and performance management of all AI-related roles and initiatives
within the AI Center of Excellence (CoE). This role ensures that AI efforts are aligned with business objectives, fosters cross-functional
collaboration, and enforces governance and ethical standards across AI projects and capabilities.
The AI Lead will serve as a visionary leader across AI disciplines. This role is pivotal in building and scaling AI capabilities, monitoring
performance through KPIs, and ensuring responsible AI practices are embedded throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee and coordinate all AI-related roles including architects, AI Strategy Lead, Governance Lifecycle Management and Adoption Lead.
· Ensure alignment of AI COE initiatives with enterprise-wide business goals and lead cross-functional collaboration across departments to integrate AI solutions and serv as the “go-to” person for AI within Omantel.
· Monitor performance metrics and KPIs for AI COE Team.
· Represent the CoE in executive forums and communicate AI strategy to senior stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
· Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
· Minimum 10 years of experience in AI leadership roles, preferably in enterprise environments.
· Proven track record of leading cross-functional AI teams and delivering strategic AI initiatives.
· Deep technical expertise in AI/ML technologies, platforms, and methodologies.
· Strong understanding of AI governance, ethics, and regulatory compliance.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
· Experience with performance management and KPI tracking for AI functions.
