The Challenge
  • Perform AS-IS Lift and Shift with potential tech upgrades, with the primary goal of migrating all SAP and Non-SAP workloads to the AWS cloud for data center closure. 
  • Migrate around 400 VMs- 90% are Windows OS, and 10% are RHEL OS.
  • Upgrade OS and Database Stack where applicable
  • Automate environment build using IaC for infrastructure provisioning.
  • AWS AD has to be used as a primary authentication platform for Windows OS and SSO for SAP applications.

  • Virtusa created a design, architecture, and migration plan with a road map
  • Created Infra as Code (IaC) with terraform, AWS LaunchWizard for SAP and integrated with AWS native DevOps tools for automated provisioning of infra
  • Upgraded and migrated Windows Server 2008/2012, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Web Server IIS to the latest versions.
