They will get a chance to interact and work on cutting-edge new-age technologies, mentored by experts from Virtusa.

About Jatayu

The idea of Jatayu, “Spread your wings and reach for your dream”, was born with a vision to foster innovation by partnering with academia, especially with the students from the third-year of CoE Campus Institutes through a controlled and integrated environment, with Virtusa providing mentorship to students on domain and next-gen technologies.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students from the IT, CS and ECE branches, ready to work in groups and have good analytical, cognitive thinking with a passion for problem-solving, and application development by balancing academics.
  • Students from IT, CS, and ECE branches in their third year pursuing BTech and in their fourth year pursuing an integrated program are eligible to participate. 
  • Applications are welcome from Virtusa-partnered Center of Excellence campus students only.

Important Timelines

 

  • Registrations Open - 24th November 2022
  • Registrations Close - 14th December 2022
  • Use Case Selection - 5th December - 7th December 2022
Terms and Conditions
  • Your team must have a minimum of three participants, and a maximum of five.
  • Virtusa maintains the right to ask for documentation proving your eligibility at any time during the process.
  • Virtusa has the exclusive authority to disqualify any participant(s) or team(s) during the process for any irregularities.
  • The competition’s terms and conditions are subject to change per business needs.
  • You cannot assign your access privileges to anyone without obtaining Virtusa’s written authorization.
  • Suppose any members decide to back out at any point during the competition. In that case, the entire team will not qualify for the further process.
  • You agree to alert Virtusa immediately if you learn of the unauthorized use of another participant’s identification or any other competition-related violation. You can contact us by writing to us at jatayu@virtusa.com

Being a finalist on the second season of Jatayu was a lot of fun. The games played between the finalists on the first day were a lot of fun, and I also won three times in the shuffling cup game. We also had the chance to introduce ourselves. On the final day, I was quite anxious about giving the presentation, but as the finale began, my anxiety subsided because of the confident atmosphere they created. I had wonderful memories of the entire two days.

It was a wonderful experience to be a part of the Virtusa Jatayu Season-2 open innovation hackathon. The eight months-long journeys gave us the opportunity to experience how to solve problems smartly using recent technologies and how to work with a team stupendously and effectively. The most important qualities that the hackathon has developed in me are a passion for the work and an innovative mind. So overall, my experience was very much amazing.
