However, easy, and cost-effective integration into clinical workflows is paramount to clinical and cost outcomes of wearables. Medication compliance management

Remote patient monitoring

CMS and large payers have provided coverage and payment for RPM of chronic disease patients. COVID constraints have further accelerated the use of RPM. Strong evidence on clinical and cost-effectiveness needs to be demonstrated beyond doubt. Tightly defined programs with clear benefits, automated workflows, effective integration with existing clinical workflows, and well-managed total costs will ensure success with RPM programs.

Healthcare interoperability (I/O)

Medical device connectivity

Even a fractional reduction on ICU alarms, based on the algorithmic analysis of aggregated device data, could immensely impact the time spent by clinicians on direct patient care, improve decision making, reduce the nursing burden, and improve staffing ratios.
