About the Role:&nbsp;As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in AI Integration with Backend Services, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying robust and scalable backend systems that seamlessly integrate with Google's cutting-edge AI and Machine Learning technologies. You will be responsible for building the infrastructure that enables intelligent features within our products, working closely with AI Research, ML Engineering, and Product teams to bring innovative AI capabilities to life for our users.&nbsp;Responsibilities:&nbsp;<ul><li>Lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance and reliable backend services and APIs.&nbsp;</li><li>Architect and implement integrations with various AI/ML platforms and services (e.g., TensorFlow Serving, Google Cloud AI, custom inference engines).&nbsp;</li><li>Develop data pipelines and processing frameworks to prepare and serve data for AI models. Ensure the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of backend systems interacting with AI models, handling high throughput and low latency requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with AI/ML researchers and engineers to deploy and optimize models within production backend environments. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for AI-integrated backend systems to ensure performance and stability.&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in on-call rotations and troubleshoot production issues.&nbsp;</li><li>Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's best practices in software development and AI integration.&nbsp;</li><li>Drive the adoption of best practices in API design, microservices architecture, and secure coding.&nbsp;</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 6+ years of experience in software development, with a significant focus on backend systems.&nbsp;</li><li>Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or Go. Experience designing and building scalable APIs and microservices.&nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform).&nbsp;</li><li>Understanding of AI/ML concepts and experience integrating machine learning models into production systems.&nbsp;</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:&nbsp;<ul><li>Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.</li><li>Experience with Google-internal technologies such as Boq, Scaffolding, Spanner, Colossus, and Borg.</li><li>Demonstrated experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools like TensorFlow, TensorFlow Serving, TFX, or JAX.</li><li>Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).</li><li>Strong understanding of system design, performance analysis, and optimization techniques.</li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.</li></ul>
