Code Green, our environmental management system, encompasses measures to manage the significant environmental aspects of our business operations, which include emissions, energy and water usage, and disposal of waste material. Since the inception of Code Green in 2009, we have improved our environmental performance consistently and achieved ambitious reductions in emissions, energy usage and water usage.

As part of our Campus Reach program, we partner with engineering colleges, universities and academic institutions across many initiatives to improve collaboration between academia and industry. Campus Reach activities include the support on curriculum development and adding to the teaching capacity, knowledge sharing sessions, the Industrial Internship Program, mentoring and career guidance, and the Virtusa Academic Excellence Awards.

Through Digital Reach, we aim to create a digitally inclusive society by IT-enabling communities. We helped set up a Digital Learning Center (DLC) for war rehabilitees in Sri Lanka, and also set up over 70 IT labs in rural schools.

Through Tech Reach, we use our software development and consulting expertise to contribute to projects of social benefit.

Disaster management system developed after the tsunami in 2004. Deployed around the world for disaster management.

Solution developed to expedite the re-integration of war rehabilitees in Sri Lanka and manage their vocational training needs.

Open source school management system to help schools manage their administrative tasks more efficiently.

Software developed to operate the digital LED scoreboard at the Mathota Sports Arena in Mannar, Sri Lanka.

Solution developed to facilitate better tracking and responsiveness to requests for aid during the 2016 floods in Sri Lanka.

Phase II of RMS developed so that it can be re-purposed for substance abuse rehabilitation.
