Technical Sales Director - Adobe CX and Martech

Must Have Skills:

  • Overall Experience: Minimum of 15+ years in technology sales, with a strong focus on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe Marketing Cloud, or similar Customer Experience (CX) and Marketing Technology (MarTech) platforms.
  • Leadership Collaboration: Proven experience collaborating with senior leadership to align Adobe AEM/CX/Martech solutions with the company’s vision and revenue objectives.
  • Sales Expertise: At least 5-10 years of technical sales experience specifically in Adobe Experience Cloud, Adobe Marketing Cloud, AEM, or related CX and Martech fields.
  • Revenue Achievement: Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales and revenue goals within the AEM, CX, and Martech domain.
  • Customer Engagement: Strong skills in engaging with both existing accounts and new prospects to identify, develop, and close sales opportunities related to AEM, Adobe CX, and Martech solutions.
  • GTM Strategy: Experience in developing go-to-market strategies, campaigns, and co-selling initiatives with Adobe and other ecosystem partners.
  • Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and assemble pursuit teams including Pre-Sales engineers, solution architects, marketing, and delivery personnel.
  • Certification: Minimum of 2+ Sales and/or Pre-Sales Accreditation from Adobe, with a strong emphasis on AEM (Sites, Assets, and Forms), Adobe Campaign, and Adobe Analytics.

Technical Skills:

  • Adobe Experience Manager (AEM): Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with AEM, including AEM Sites, AEM Assets, and AEM Forms. Proven ability to design, implement, and optimize AEM solutions, focusing on scalability, personalization, and multi-channel delivery.
    • Content Management Expertise: Deep understanding of AEM’s content management capabilities, including experience with AEM Headless CMS, content workflows, and integration with Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target.
    • Asset Management: Proficiency in managing digital assets using AEM Assets, including metadata management, asset workflows, and dynamic media delivery.
  • Adobe Marketing Cloud: Extensive experience with Adobe Marketing Cloud services, including Adobe Campaign for cross-channel campaign management, Adobe Analytics for deep insights, Adobe Target for personalization, and Adobe Audience Manager for audience segmentation and management.
    • Sales and/or Pre-Sales Accreditation: Relevant Adobe certifications in AEM, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Analytics, and related Martech solutions.
    • Solution Design: Expertise in designing and implementing comprehensive Adobe CX and Martech solutions, with a focus on creating personalized customer experiences, orchestrating customer journeys, and leveraging data-driven marketing strategies.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), including Real-Time Customer Data Platform (RT-CDP) and Adobe Journey Optimizer. Experience with APIs, Adobe I/O, Adobe Launch, and integration with third-party Martech solutions.
  • Migration Experience: Experience with migrating legacy CMS and marketing platforms to AEM and Adobe Marketing Cloud, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption.
  • Workshop Facilitation: Ability to conduct in-depth workshops for gathering requirements, developing business cases, and crafting tailored AEM and Martech solutions. Must demonstrate expertise in leading technical discussions and providing thought leadership to position the company as a trusted advisor.

Nice to Have:

  • Leadership in Digital Transformation: Demonstrated leadership in spearheading digital transformation initiatives, leveraging AEM and Adobe Martech to drive significant business outcomes.
  • Mentorship: Ability to mentor and guide technical teams, including architects and technical leads, in the Adobe ecosystem, with a focus on AEM and Martech solutions.
  • Marketing Support: Experience in supporting sales and marketing initiatives such as whitepapers, email campaigns, analyst interactions, and client quarterly business reviews (QBRs), with a particular emphasis on AEM and Martech-related topics.
  • Technology Evaluation: Capability to evaluate and integrate emerging technologies within the Adobe ecosystem, such as AI-driven personalization, headless CMS architectures, and advanced analytics, presenting potential impacts and benefits to stakeholders.
  • Innovation: Knowledge of the latest advancements in AEM and Adobe Martech, including integration with artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other emerging technologies. Stay updated on market trends and analyst insights to ensure offerings remain competitive and aligned with industry standards.
  • Community Engagement: Active participation in the Adobe community, such as contributing to forums, attending user groups, or speaking at Adobe events, which demonstrates a deeper engagement with AEM, Martech, and the broader Adobe ecosystem.
