Job description
We are looking for a Technical Lead in a Customer Facing role for our Data & Analytics practice responsible for providing architectural direction and thought leadership with ETL & Business Intelligence Skills.
Roles and Responsibilities
Experienced Tech Lead Managing a small team of developers & Testers on project delivery.
Distribute and manage ETL/SQL development work across the teams ETL / SQL internal developers and testers.
Must have the ability to support all phases of SDLC- requirements gathering, development, testing, production implementation and post-production.
Set / Implement ETL / SQL development & testing standards (Coding Standards, Code Reviews, Test-Drive Development, ETL Testing)
Coach staff in technical matters and delivering on other job-related responsibilities.
Participate in Scrum Sprints as the ETL/SQL Development Lead.
Ability to work with IT and/or business personnel on adjustments required to their processes (bundles of queries) including potentially to the application or tool which triggers the process(es)
Work with the team to establish and reinforce disciplined software development, processes, standards, and error recovery procedures are deployed.
Maintain and support existing ETL and Data Quality jobs in QA/ production environment.
Acts as first point of contact for any job failure, review problem(s), identify issue(s) and works to resolve them.
Support/ Lead the ETL Testing team to help identify/implement defect reduction initiatives
Work closely with the Architecture team to make sure architecture standards and principles are followed during development.
Take part in code reviews and reviewing the work of colleagues.
Will need to engage with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Application DBA to implement ETL Solutions.
Works with Offshore team to maintain and monitor the deliveries.
Performing Proof of Concepts on new platforms
Required Skills and qualifications.
8+ years of strong hands-on experience in Python, Pyspark, Terradata and SQL preferably as ETL developer.
Mastery in SQL, writing stored procedures and optimizing queries.
5+ years of experience as a technical lead in client facing role.
Working experience on ETL data transformations and good knowledge of ETL testing cycle.
Strong data modeling, data architecture and data warehouse skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Effective issue resolution and structured problem solving methodology.
Must have experience with at least one major ETL toolset.
At least 6+ years full life cycle software development experience.
Good To Have Skills
Domain experience in Banking Retail services preferably Cards and Payments desired.
Working Knowledge of Abinitio.
