Job description
Required Skills/Abilities
6+ Years of QA experience
Good understanding of the QA process (Requirement understanding /Test Design/Test execution /Defect tracking /Testing Types /Test Reporting etc.)
API (RESTfull /SOAP) testing experience including automation
Experience in using two or more tools below for API testing & automation such as Postman/SoapUI/ReadyAPI/ REST Assured/ swagger/ Karate framework etc..
Average level of understanding of API performance testing using Jmeter or any other tools
Web Application Test automation experience With Selenium
Good understanding and Experience in using one or more programing language from below to automate the WEB applications ( Java/C#./Python/ Java Script or any other )
Good understanding of usage of Programming Language Concepts and Test Automation Best Practices in implementing and maintaining the Automation frameworks
Good Knowledge about future trends with Application automation and tools
Very good understanding of Automation Frameworks (Experience in implementing a automation framework is a must (API or UI ) )
Basic understanding of Automation Test Estimations & Planning
Ability to use SQL to build a logic to query the databased for regular project activities like Test Data finding/Test Data creation / embedded to automation etc..
Basic understanding of Cloud technologies (AWS etc.. )
understanding of using GIT/BitBucket /Maven tools
Experience in using Test Management tools for defect tracking, test cases, review etc
Good understanding of SCRUM process and be a good team player

Nice to Have
Integrate automation testing into continuous integration (Jenkins or docker)
Experience in Automation Test Estimations & Planning
Automation Experience using Java Script Based tools (WebdriverIO /Cypress etc..)
Experience in testing AWS / azure cloud base service
Good Experience in Application Performance Testing
Qualification

Description:

  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers in executing testing strategies.
  • Oversee the entire QA process including requirement understanding, test design, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
  • Design and implement automated tests for APIs (RESTful/SOAP) and web applications using appropriate tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Manage defect tracking and resolution processes using test management tools.
  • Provide insights on automation frameworks and future trends in application testing.
  • Utilize SQL for test data creation and query development.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 6+ years of QA experience.
  • QA Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of QA processes, including requirement analysis, test design, execution, defect tracking, testing types, and reporting.
  • API Testing: Hands-on experience in API testing and automation with tools such as Postman, SoapUI, ReadyAPI, REST Assured, Swagger, or Karate framework.
  • Performance Testing: Average understanding of API performance testing using tools like JMeter.
  • Web Application Testing: Experience with Selenium for web application test automation.
  • Programming Languages: Proficient in at least one programming language (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript) for automation.
  • Automation Frameworks: Good knowledge of automation frameworks and best practices; experience in implementing a framework (API or UI).
  • Automation Estimation: Basic understanding of automation test estimations and planning.
  • Database Skills: Ability to use SQL for test data management.
  • Cloud Technologies: Basic understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
  • Version Control & Build Tools: Familiarity with GIT/BitBucket and Maven.
  • Test Management: Experience with test management tools for defect tracking and test case reviews.
  • Team Collaboration: Good understanding of SCRUM processes; strong team player.
