Summary: The Oracle ERP Solution Architect role is responsible for leading the planning, designing, developing, testing and deployment of efficient solutions within Oracle EBS system, in order to satisfy strategic, financial, and operations needs of the organization. This will include performance, security and operational considerations in support of given initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Lead/drive Order to Cash and Financials related technical design, development and support
  • Interface with business to understand the scope and requirements
  • Act as the liaison with business managers, business users and IT execution team. Support definition of use cases, scenarios etc.
  • Develops and implements policies, procedures and architectural principals to ensure that systems support the organization's business requirements and meet the needs of end users.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Develops and executes test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical development, and where possible, makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Assists in the identification, analysis, and resolution of technology infrastructure problems.
  • Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
  • Recommends improvements to processes and technology that improve the effectiveness of the team.
  • Conducts Proof of Concept (POC) for feasibility studies
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems across the platform.
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Capable of successfully engaging in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of integration best practices and excellent relationship skills working with business leaders, stakeholders, infrastructure team and various development teams across the organization.
  • Able to work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers.

Desired Experience/Skills:

The Oracle Apps Finance Techno Functional Consultant shall possess most of the following technical skills and experience
• 7 + years of overall experience working as Oracle Apps Finance Techno Functional consultant with more focus on technical.
• Strong working knowledge on RICEFW (Reports,Interfaces,Conversions,Extensions,Forms and Workflows)
• Must have worked on at least 2 conversion projects.
• 5+ years' experience with SQL, PL/SQL and SQL•Loader
• Strong experience with BI Publisher and OA Framework.
• Exposure to EBS version 12.2.4+ is a plus
• Experience writing detailed technical/Conversion Design/Technical Installation documentation including but not limited to MD070, CV040, MD120, and CV120.
• Experience with Subledger Accounting (SLA) specially as related to Ledgers
• Experience with Accrual Accounting
• Experience with Oracle G/L interface creation and maintenance is strongly desired
• Experience with Web ADI
• Experience working with oracle support to resolve oracle application bugs.
• Experience with Oracle G/L period, quarter, year-end reconciliation and closing process.
• Must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Current knowledge of trends in IT and experience in the development of new technologies
• Experience with change management Procedures is a must
• Experience with SOX compliance environments with segregation of duties is desired.
• Experience with organizational data requirements and complex business rules, translating them into detailed program specifications.
• Experience with application systems development life cycle methodology.
• Experience providing assistance, advice, and guidance to project team members on relational database design concepts, application development, efficient production job design, testing concepts, and other specialties.
• Knowledge and understanding of Object Oriented and/or relational data base concepts and principles.
• Experience with testing concepts and techniques promoting applications to production
