Role & Responsibilities:

Job Specifications:

  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers to understand needs of the role, needs of the team, and culture of the team
  • Manage the overall candidate experience to ensure it is professional, positive and reflective of Stikeman Elliott LLP values
  • Create job postings and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position
  • Develop and execute appropriate sourcing strategies, paying particular attention to diversity initiatives and creative sourcing techniques.
  • Source applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn and other professional networks
  • Identify and refine the most suitable talent from available candidates
  • Plan interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments, and in-person interviews
  • Document and organize communications, notes, and other documents related to the interview process
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with candidates, networks and hiring managers
  • Manage relationships with agencies and educational institutions
  • Review processes and provide feedback for continuous improvement and efficiency; apply best practices

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience leading full-cycle recruitment processes preferably within a law firm, professional services environment or recruitment agency.
  • College Diploma or University Degree in Human Resources Management.
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of recruitment and selection best practices and employment legislation; advanced interviewing skills and a proven track record of successful hires.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships and display positive enthusiastic energy.
  • Provide pro-active and responsive solutions to departmental hiring needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience with applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, job board platforms, and digital marketing/social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; experience with UltiPro (UKG) is an asset.
