The HSBC UK Staff Channels Migration solution architect team are responsible for the architecture design for the modernisation of HSBC UK staff channels used for sales and service covering all lines of business and brands. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the branch and call centre colleague experience transforming legacy technologies into a modern solution built on cloud technologies and integrations via API.
Within this, The Solution Architect drives end to end solution design across change within the UK MyWorkspace migration project operating across Lines of Business and Value Streams.
Key Responsibilities:
End to End Solution Design
Defining the detailed end to end solution design for products and features in a way that supports the execution of the impacted GB/GF technology strategies and roadmaps, articulating and addressing associated architectural risks, issues and technical debt
Translating the requirements created by business analysts into the architecture for that solution, ensuring the products and services meet the customer needs and expected Business Outcomes
Engage with relevant Stakeholders, Platform and Enterprise Architects who inform solution design Risk Management
Effectively manage & escalate risks/issues, to ensure there are no surprises for the PM &/or stakeholder where appropriate
Ensuring the architecture undergoes appropriate level of assessment at the right stage throughout the agile process in line with the appropriate GB/GF Governance processes (as applicable) ensuring adherence to Decision Driven Design and the Solution Architecture FIM
Production of relevant risk based architecture deliverables are completed in accordance with relevant Architecture governance process and quality standards
Appropriate level of governance for any decisions when deviating from Reference Architectures, Strategies, Patterns or Policies Escalating to Enterprise, Platform and Value Stream architects to evolve the architectural strategy and roadmap where gaps become evident; looking for opportunities to improve the current landscape/enterprise
Identify dependencies across multiple GB/GFs and Platforms Experience in delivering solutions over a number of years, either as a solutions architect or as a developer/analyst able to demonstrate architectural thinking.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to interact within the business as well as Technology
Ability to quickly consider and create solutions to immediate challenges as well as produce longer term strategic views and artefacts.
Excellent communication skills and the capability to adapt verbal and written communications to the appropriate audience to communicate at the right level depending on audience
Capability to influence and promote new ideas and direction within the organisation Be accustomed to managing a high level of ambiguity and delivering clear decisions and direction
Knowledge of the architecture landscape of HSBC Group with specific knowledge of the HSBC UK enterprise preferred
