We are seeking a skilled Collibra Architect to join our team. The Collibra Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Collibra's data governance platform to ensure effective data management and compliance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Collibra Data Governance solutions, a strong understanding of data governance principles, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making. This role includes working with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven strategies, creating comprehensive reports, ensuring data integrity, and contributing to RFP processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and Implementation:
o Lead the design and implementation of Collibra Data Governance solutions, including data cataloging, data lineage, and data stewardship.
o Develop and configure Collibra workflows, business glossary, and data policies to meet organizational requirements.
o Integrate Collibra with other data management tools and platforms, such as data warehouses, BI tools, and ETL processes.
• Data Governance Strategy:
o Define and implement data governance frameworks, data quality standards, and data management best practices.
o Work with stakeholders to define data governance requirements, objectives, and KPIs.
o Ensure alignment of data governance strategies with business goals and compliance requirements.
• Collaboration and Support:
o Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to understand data needs and provide solutions that enhance data accessibility and usability.
o Provide training and support to users on Collibra features and best practices.
o Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Collibra implementations.
• Documentation and Reporting:
o Document system designs, configurations, and processes for future reference and compliance.
o Create and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor data governance metrics and performance.
• Continuous Improvement:
o Stay current with Collibra product updates and industry trends to recommend improvements and new features.
o Continuously assess and enhance the effectiveness of data governance practices and tools.
Qualifications:
• Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Experience:
o Overall 15+ years of experience.
o Minimum of 5+ years of experience working with Data Governance solutions.
o 5+ years of working in various cloud platforms.
o Proven experience in designing and implementing data governance frameworks and data management solutions.
o Strong understanding of data governance concepts, data quality, data lineage, and data stewardship.
• Skills:
o Proficiency in Collibra’s data cataloging, data stewardship, and data governance features.
o Familiarity with data integration tools and technologies (e.g., ETL, data warehousing).
o Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
o Experience with SQL and data querying languages is a plus.
• Certifications:
o Collibra certifications (e.g., Collibra Certified Data Governance Architect) are highly desirable.
o Additional certifications in data management or governance (e.g., DAMA-Certified Data Management Professional) are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with other data governance tools and platforms.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards related to data governance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Experience in a leadership or mentorship role within data governance projects.
