Sr. Database Administrator PostgreSQL

Technical skills required,
4 Years PostgreSQL Administration experience.
Must have experience in PostgreSQL database architecture, logical and physical design, automation, documentation, installs, shell scripting, PL/ SQL programming, catalog navigation, query tuning, system tuning, resource contention analysis, backup and recovery, standby, replication, etc.
Must have a deeper understanding of the PostgreSQL architecture and internals.
Deep understanding of latest PostgreSQL version.
Extensive experience with Backup and Recovery.
Extensive experience with PostgreSQL Patching, version upgrades and migrations.
Demonstrated experience and analyzing query, troubleshooting and performance turning.
Must have knowledge on implementing Automatic failover, Parallel backups and Connection Pooling using Open Source tools.
Must have knowledge on the most widely used extensions in PostgreSQL for monitoring, analyzing and maintaining the databases.
Must be able to handle Catalog Corruptions, Database Corruptions and Point in time recovery
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Participate in a 24 X 7 production support rotation.
Strong Automation & coding skills using Bash or python, SDLC, CI/CD, etc.

Good to have:
Experience with other RDBMS (Db2 LUW or MS SQL Server or Oracle) will be plus.
