Job Overview:
The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance process for our web portals and mobile applications. This role involves designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and working closely with development teams to ensure that our digital products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning: Develop and document comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web portals and mobile applications based on functional and non functional requirements.
Manual Testing: Perform manual testing of web portals and mobile applications, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Automation Testing: Design and implement automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
Bug Identification: Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Performance Testing: Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to ensure applications meet performance benchmarks and can handle expected user loads.
Cross Platform Testing: Ensure compatibility and performance of applications across different platforms, devices, and browsers.
Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to understand requirements, identify potential issues, and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Reporting: Provide detailed test reports and metrics, including test results, defect status, and quality assessments. Highlight areas of concern and suggest improvements.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices for quality assurance. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging testing technologies.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of test processes, methodologies, and results. Ensure that test artifacts are and accessible.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on web portals and mobile applications.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in manual and automated testing techniques.
Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.
Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and mobile platforms (iOS, Android).
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
