Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Modeller with a strong background in the IBM Banking Data Warehouse (BDW) model. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data models that support enterprise banking data solutions. You will work closely with business analysts, data architects, and engineering teams to ensure data structures align with business requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models for banking data warehouses using IBM BDW.
· Customize and extend IBM BDW to meet specific business needs.
· Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze data requirements.
· Translate business requirements into scalable and efficient data models.
· Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality across the data warehouse.
· Support ETL developers and data engineers in implementing data models.
· Optimize data models for performance and scalability.
· Maintain documentation of data models, metadata, and data lineage.
· Participate in data governance and data quality initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience in data modeling within the banking or financial services domain.
· Strong hands-on experience with IBM Banking Data Warehouse (BDW) or IBM InfoSphere BDW.
· Proficiency in data modeling tools such as ER/Studio, Erwin, or IBM Data Architect.
· Solid understanding of banking products, processes, and regulatory requirements.
· Experience with relational databases (e.g., DB2, Oracle, SQL Server) and SQL.
· Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL processes.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with IBM InfoSphere DataStage, Informatica, or other ETL tools.
· Knowledge of data governance frameworks and data quality tools.
· Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
