The Programmer Analyst develops and modifies complex technical computer software. They meet project deadlines to insure satisfactory function of the software.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with outside vendor representatives and technical teams that interface with internal applications
Will be part of an on-call rotation supporting applications 24/7
Provides technical support to operations team
Works with other systems programmers to develop, install, modify, and/or maintain the operation system, software products and/or subsystems for network management, performance, and capacity management
Leads the testing, debugging and modifications of vendor applications and validates their efficient use and integration
Provides technical advice on the operating system and subsystems including performance monitoring
Performs other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Strong troubleshooting and independent problem-solving skills
5+ years knowledge and experience in a Windows environment
5+ years of knowledge and experience with Visual Studio, .Net, and C#
Knowledge/experience with version control practices and version control tools
Prior work with remoting into servers for troubleshooting
Good understanding of SQL databases and writing queries
Understanding of System change control processes
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of related experience working in an IT environment providing production support for vendor applications with experience in installing, maintaining, and managing multiple applications/systems
Ability to balance both development and support roles
Agile experience with ADO, Jira, etc.
Experience in working on projects that involve business segments
Strong interpersonal skills, focus on customer service, and the ability to work well with other IT, vendor, and business groups
Excellent communication, design, documentation, analytical, and SDLC skills
Experience using monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Zenoss, Splunk, and log files to evaluate the health of mission critical production applications and to identify root causes for performance and functional issues
