Windows Server OS basics (Services, Event Viewer, Task Scheduler)
Basic SQL (MS SQL Server) querying
Ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira)
Monitoring tools (Splunk, Datadog, CloudWatch)
Basic PowerShell scripting (optional)
Strong communication and incident triage skills
Monitor production Windows servers and applications using dashboards and alerts
Perform initial incident triage and escalate as per defined SOPs
Review Windows Event Logs and application logs for basic troubleshooting
Execute routine operational tasks like service restarts and scheduled task verifications
Document incident resolutions and update knowledge base articles
Coordinate with L2 and other support teams for incident resolution
Participate in on-call rotations and provide timely status updates
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents related to Windows servers and applications
Perform root cause analysis using Windows Event Logs, IIS logs, and application logs
Monitor and tune server and application performance
Automate support tasks and monitoring using PowerShell scripting
Support application deployments, patches, and configuration changes
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for issue resolution
Maintain and improve operational documentation, runbooks, and SOPs
Proactively monitor batch jobs, Windows services, and system health
Participate in incident management and on-call rotations
