Detailed Job Description for Site Reliability Engineer at Chennai, TN:
Overview:
· We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with 7 to 9 years of experience in the IT industry.
· The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, Kubernetes, and a strong understanding of building secure and reliable applications.
· This role involves working in a dynamic environment, ensuring high availability and performance of applications.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
· 7+ years of overall IT industry experience.
· Hands-on experience with AWS compute, storage, database, and application integration services.
· Proficiency in AWS deployment and management services.
· Practical experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
· Extensive experience in architecting, designing, and programming applications in an AWS Cloud environment, particularly for large, regulated businesses.
· Familiarity with GIT as a source code control tool and its role in deployment pipelines.
· Proven experience in building sophisticated and highly automated infrastructure, with prior success in automating production environments.
· Knowledge of seamless and automated build pipelines for release management across various environments.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external organizations.
· Ability to identify appropriate AWS services to meet specific technical requirements.
· Understanding of best practices for building secure and reliable applications on the AWS platform.
· In-depth knowledge of at least one high-level programming language, along with associated frameworks, idioms, and best practices.
· Experience in creating unit tests, integration tests, system tests, and acceptance tests.
· Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
· Experience with DR setup, Digital Twin, and Automation.
· Familiarity with on-premises to cloud migration activities.
· Preferred: Experience with Pharma COTS applications such as Genedata and D360 (Certara).
