Experience Range
5 to 9 Years

Manage and maintain Heroku applications including deployments scaling and monitoring
Design develop and maintain relational databases on the Heroku platform
Collaborate with other developers to ensure database schema and data integrity
Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation
Implement and maintain database security measures including access control encryption and auditing
Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues
Monitor database health and performance metrics
Stay up to date with the latest Heroku database features and best practices
Contribute to the development of internal tools and processes related to Heroku database management
Work closely with other teams including product design and operations

Qualifications

3 years of experience developing and managing relational databases
1 year of experience as a Heroku Administrator or similar role
Strong understanding of SQL syntax and best practices
Proven experience as a Heroku Administrator or similar role
Proficiency in at least one database language eg PostgreSQL MySQL
Experience with database performance tuning and optimization
Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and technologies
Experience with CI CD pipelines and automated testing for database changes
Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Bonus Points

Experience with Salesforce platform including Sales Cloud Service Cloud and AppExchange
Experience with database migration tools eg Flyway Liquibase
Experience with data warehousing and analytics
Experience with specific Heroku database add ons and services
