Job description
As a Web Application Designer, and user needs into intuitive, scalable, and visually compelling designs. This role demands a deep understanding of front end technologies, design systems, and agile development methodologies, coupled with the ability to effectively communicate technical design decisions to both technical and non technical stakeholders.
Strategic Design Requirements Analysis:
Collaborate extensively with product owners, business analysts, and technical leads to thoroughly understand Business Requirements Documents BRD and Functional Requirements Documents FRD.
Participate in the definition of product vision and strategy, translating high-level concepts into detailed design specifications.
Conduct in depth user research, including usability testing, A B testing, and user interviews, to inform design decisions and validate hypotheses.
Information Architecture Interaction Design
Develop comprehensive information architectures, user flows, site maps, and interaction models that optimize user journeys and enhance usability.
Create high-fidelity wireframes, interactive prototypes, and detailed mockups using advanced design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch, ensuring responsive and adaptive designs across various breakpoints.
Define and maintain design systems, style guides, and component libraries to ensure consistency and scalability across all web applications.
Front-End Integration Technical Collaboration:
Work closely with front-end developers to ensure the technical feasibility of UI UX designs and facilitate a smooth handoff process.
Provide technical design specifications and assets, including CSS styles, iconography, and responsive layouts.
Demonstrate proficiency in front end web technologies HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript to effectively communicate design rationale and assist in debugging UI-related implementation issues.
Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js and their impact on design implementation is a plus.
Performance Optimization Accessibility
Design for optimal web performance, considering factors such as load times, responsiveness, and efficient asset utilization.
Ensure all designs adhere to accessibility standards e.g., WCAG to create inclusive experiences for all users
Implement best practices for cross browser compatibility and device responsiveness.
Continuous Improvement Innovation:
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in web application design, UX UI, and front end development.
Actively participate in design critiques, providing and receiving constructive feedback to continuously elevate design quality.
Technical Skills Tools
Design Prototyping Figma expert proficiency required, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision.
Front End Technologies HTML5, CSS3 including preprocessors like Sass Less, JavaScript ES6 plus
Version Control: Git e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket.
Collaboration Project Management: Jira, Confluence.
Design Systems: Experience in creating and maintaining comprehensive design systems and component libraries
Responsive Adaptive Design: Deep understanding of principles and implementation techniques.
Web Performance Optimization: Knowledge of tools and strategies for optimizing web application performance.
