Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Software Development Specialist with a strong emphasis on Usability Testing. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accessibility standards, particularly WCAG 2.1 and 2.2, and hands-on experience with various screen readers. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure our software products are user-friendly and compliant with accessibility guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Conduct usability testing to evaluate the accessibility and user experience of software applications.
Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
Utilize screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, AIRA) to assess and improve application accessibility.
Implement semantic HTML practices to enhance web accessibility.
Evaluate mobile accessibility and ensure applications are optimized for mobile devices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate accessibility features into software products.
Maintain awareness of compliance requirements and best practices in accessibility.
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and functional testing of banking applications.
Mandatory Skills:
Strong knowledge of Usability Testing.
Mastery of WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 accessibility standards.
Hands-on experience with screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, AIRA).
Proficient in semantic HTML and mobile accessibility.
Experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and functional testing.
Banking experience is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of Online Banking and Bill Payment (OLBB) systems.
Familiarity with point of sale systems.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
