Software Test Engineer Manual Testing
Experience 3 to 5 Years
Location Electronics City Phase 2 Bengaluru
Work Mode Hybrid 3 days from office
We are looking for a detail oriented Software Test Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have strong fundamentals in Manual Testing and experience managing the testing lifecycle using Azure DevOps. The role focuses on ensuring the quality and stability of applications through rigorous manual testing. While the primary focus is manual testing exposure to Microservices architecture and Kubernetes is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
The candidate will plan design and execute comprehensive manual test cases for web and or mobile applications. They will log track and manage defects using Azure DevOps and ensure clear communication with the development team. The role involves collaborating with product owners and developers to understand requirements and convert them into effective test scenarios. The engineer will perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains stable after new releases. They will maintain test artifacts such as test plans test scenarios and requirement traceability matrix. Participation in daily stand ups sprint planning and close collaboration with the team in a hybrid setup is expected.
Required Qualifications
The candidate must have 3 to 5 years of proven experience in Manual Testing with a strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle and Software Development Life Cycle. Hands on experience with Azure DevOps for test management and defect tracking is required. Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and provide detailed bug reports are necessary along with good verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
ISTQB Foundation Level certification is an added advantage. Technical exposure to Microservices architecture containers Docker Kubernetes orchestration and experience testing API endpoints using tools such as Postman is preferred.
