The Senior Program Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering large scale, strategic programs that align with the organizations goals and objectives. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, coordinating resources, and ensuring that projects are completed within scope, timeline, and budget. The Senior Program Manager is a key leadership position, requiring strong communication, strategic thinking, and problem solving skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
Program Planning Develop comprehensive program plans, including defining objectives, scope, deliverables, and timelines, in collaboration with stakeholders and senior management.
Stakeholder Engagement Engage with key stakeholders, including executives, clients, and project sponsors, to ensure alignment with project objectives and provide regular updates on progress
Resource Management Allocate resources efficiently and effectively across projects within the program to optimize productivity and meet project goals.
Risk Management Identify potential risks and issues early on, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure the appropriate steps are taken to minimize disruptions to the program.
Budget Management Oversee program budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure adherence to financial constraints while delivering expected outcomes.
Team Leadership Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, provide clear guidance, set expectations, and foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
Reporting and Communication
Prepare and present regular status reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting program achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
Vendor Management Coordinate with external vendors and partners, ensuring they meet their contractual obligations and deliverables.
Qualifications and Requirements
15 Plus years of overall experience
Proven experience as a Program Manager or in a similar leadership position, preferably in a complex and fast paced environment.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem solving abilities.
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to build and lead high performing teams.
Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards, best practices, and regulations.
