We are seeking a Director of Consulting with 10+ years of consulting experience and a deep background in merchant services and pricing and billing solutions. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in BFS (Banking, Financial Services) or merchant services. This role requires expertise in leading pricing, billing, and fee management transformation programs, working closely with clients, product teams, and technology teams to deliver scalable solutions. The candidate should be skilled in Agile frameworks, industry pricing models, dynamic pricing, and billing optimization strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a Business Analyst/Subject Matter Expert (SME) in pricing, billing, and fee management transformation programs for merchant services and BFS.
Gather and document business requirements related to pricing structures, fee waivers, discounts, revenue recognition, and relationship pricing.
Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), functional specifications, pricing models, and user stories to support Agile delivery frameworks.
Manage product backlogs, assist with sprint planning, and collaborate with technology teams using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Azure DevOps (ADO).
Work closely with business product owners, finance, risk, and operations teams to design flexible, scalable, and rules-driven pricing and billing solutions.
Contribute to practice development through the creation of pricing accelerators, templates, white papers, and represent Virtusa in pricing and billing forums.
Prepare client demos, proposals, and RFP responses focusing on downstream pricing implementation and modernization opportunities.
Maintain awareness of industry trends, including billing models (e.g., tiered, usage-based, subscription), fee optimization, and dynamic pricing techniques.
Support pricing platform projects including requirements mapping, integration with CRM/LOS/ERP systems, and downstream billing workflows.
Required Skills & Experience:
10+ years of consulting experience, with expertise in pricing, billing, and fee management transformation.
5+ years of experience specifically in BFS (Banking, Financial Services) or merchant services.
In-depth knowledge of major pricing and billing solutions (e.g., SunTec Xelerate, Zafin, Brilliance Financials, CSG).
Extensive experience in gathering business requirements, developing pricing models, and delivering Agile frameworks.
Expertise in pricing strategies, including relationship pricing, discounting, fee optimization, and revenue recognition.
Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Azure DevOps (ADO) for managing backlogs and sprint planning.
Strong understanding of dynamic pricing techniques and billing models (e.g., usage-based, tiered, subscription).
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and technology teams.
Qualifications:
10+ years of consulting experience with a strong focus on merchant services and BFS domains.
Expertise in working with pricing and billing solutions such as SunTec Xelerate, Zafin, Brilliance Financials, and CSG.
Experience in developing pricing accelerators, templates, and representing the company in pricing and billing forums.

Extensive understanding of industry standards and trends in billing models and fee optimization strategies.
