We are pleased with our first quarter performance. During the quarter, we made good progress against our strategic goals, including an expanded ability to deliver targeted business outcomes to our clients in areas such as mobility, customer experience, process automation and operational efficiency. Much of this is a direct result of the investments we have made in strengthening our solutions capabilities, innovative methodologies, consulting expertise and industry knowledge.
We recently acquired substantially all of the assets of ALaS Consulting LLC (“ALaS”), which provides us with complementary capital markets skills and strengthens our financial services offerings. We are happy to welcome the ALaS team to Virtusa. This acquisition will further enable Virtusa to identify and execute transformational programs, take on the downstream technology implementation and strengthen Virtusa’s strategic position across its financial services client base.
We are delighted to receive three exceptional awards over the last quarter reinforcing our growing leadership as a premier IT services company. Our focus for this coming year and the future of our practice will be in two distinct areas: Core Virtusa Practice Areas and QA Innovations. 
The Open University QA Course is a part of the Virtusa Campus Reach initiative which began in 2009. The main objective of this engagement was to streamline the Open University QA (course) module (ECI 5267) to be in line with the industry standards. The OUSL sought the assistance in this regard from Virtusa, which is considered a pioneer in software quality assurance practices.
Almost 5000 bikers started cycling up the Alp D’Huez as many times as possible to raise money for the Dutch Cancer Foundation (KWF Kankerbestrijding). This event is called Alpe d’HuZes. Alpe d'HuZes was created with the aim to empower people to convert the sense of powerlessness, caused by cancer, into one of strength. We achieve this by motivating as many people as possible to constantly challenge and expand their boundaries.
On the eve of World Blood Donor day June 14th 2011, Virtusa organized blood donation camps at our facilities in Hyderabad (Campus, MHT and CG). Virtusa tied up with a social service organization, Mythri charitable trust, for the camps. Enthusiastic Virtusans came forward in numbers to donate blood and participate in this noble cause.
