Although the economic downturn impacted our clients and tempered growth, FY 10 will have a special place in our history. During the year, we made our first ever acquisition in InSource - a specialist technology consulting firm last November, followed by the acquisition of ConVista Consulting - a market leader in Finance transformations in February. The domain knowledge and complex program management expertise of both these acquisitions, combined with our technology execution and global delivery capability, provides our clients with end-to-end services that accelerate business outcomes.
These acquisitions place Virtusa in a unique position to solve new world challenges using technology to improve business agility and competitiveness. In addition, we continued to build on our targeted solutions - Consulting, BPM, ECM, DW/BI. We have increased new client wins and have gone to convert many into long term engagements.
As we commence FY11, we are very pleased with the foundation we have built through the strength of our corporate vision and guiding principles. This is an exciting time at Virtusa and we are enthusiastic about commencing the next phase of our journey.
I want to personally thank all our clients for helping us achieve these major milestones in our evolution towards becoming the leading provider of next-generation IT services.
We look forward to continued success together.
Sincerely,
Kris Canekeratne
Chairman and CEO
