Kris CanekeratneChairman and Chief Executive Officer
Kris A. Canekeratne, one of our co-founders, has served as chairman of our board of directors from our inception and chief executive officer from 1996 to 1997 and from 2000 to the present. As Chief Executive Officer, he plays a key role in defining the company strategy and using technology and innovation continuously to maintain its leadership in the industry. In 1997, Kris Canekeratne co-founded eDocs, Inc., a provider of electronic account management and customer care, later acquired by Oracle Corporation. In 1989, Kris Canekeratne was one of the founding team members of INSCI Corporation, a supplier of digital document repositories and integrated output management products and services and served as its senior vice president from 1992 to 1996. Canekeratne obtained his B.S. in Computer Science from Syracuse University.
Raj RajgopalPresident, Enterprise, Technology & Solutions
Raj Rajgopal joined Virtusa in April 2005. He has served as the President of Virtusa since 2013. In this role he is responsible for developing and executing Virtusa’s growth strategy. All of Virtusa’s industry Verticals and Practices report into Raj. Raj served as Executive Vice President for business development and client services between 2008 and 2013, and as General Manager of the Communications, Content and Technology business unit between 2005 and 2008.
From September 1990 to April 2003, Raj held several leadership positions at Gemini Consulting, a division of Cap Gemini, both in Europe as well as in the US where he served as a Vice President of their Management Consulting Business in Media and Communications. Raj left Cap Gemini in the spring of 2003 to start his own company, Rajgopal Management Consulting, which he ran successfully for several years. As President of Rajgopal Management Consulting, Raj provided consulting services to many clients, including Virtusa.
Raj graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering; earned his M.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, and in Computer Science from Virginia Tech; and earned his Master’s in Business Administration from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), Sloan School of Management.
Samir DhirPresident, Banking and Financial Services
Samir Dhir is President of Virtusa Corporation where he is responsible for developing and executing VirtusaPolaris' growth strategy for the Banking & Financial Services industry worldwide. He is also a Board member of Virtusa Consulting Services.
Prior to being promoted to President, Banking and Financial Services, Samir led the global delivery organization at the Company as its Chief Delivery Officer. Samir is a key member of NASSCOM's IT Services Council which has been initiated to sustain and grow global leadership in IT. Samir previously worked for Wipro Technologies where he managed delivery with over 5,000 people for technology, media, transportation and services business, handled their SAP Practice and ran the managed services business. Prior to Wipro he held leadership positions with Avaya and Lucent Technologies in the UK.
Samir received his MBA from the Warwick Business School, UK and holds a B Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee.
Roger Keith ModderExecutive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Roger Keith Modder has been with Virtusa since 2001. Prior to his promotion as Chief Operating Officer, he served as President of Asian Operations and EVP Global Services. Prior to joining Virtusa, he worked for the John Keells Group where he simultaneously held the Managing Director/Chief Executive positions for an IT systems integrator and office automation company and has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry. He is also a government nominated member of the board of directors of Nanco, (a public-private partnership for nano technology initiatives in Sri Lanka) and a member of the National Council for Economic Development (IT/BPO cluster) in Sri Lanka.
Thomas R. HollerExecutive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer
Thomas R. Holler has played a pivotal role in Virtusa's journey. Prior to his promotion, he served various positions at Virtusa-Executive Vice President (Finance), Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Secretary since 2001. Before joining us, Holler was Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance at Cerulean Technology Inc., a global supplier of wireless mobile applications and services which was later acquired by Aether Systems. Holler earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Wayne State University and his Masters in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
Ranjan KaliaExecutive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Ranjan Kalia has served as our senior vice president, chief financial officer, treasurer and secretary since October 2008 and prior to his promotion, served as our senior vice president, finance when he joined us in April 2008. Prior to joining us, from 2000 to December 2007, Kalia served as Vice President, Finance Emerging Markets and International Development and Chief Financial Officer-Asia Pacific for EMC Corporation. Kalia received a Masters in Business Administration from Nichols College and an undergraduate degree from Delhi University, India.
